i thought the album was an international release, not just an american release???
it's available on amazon uk as an import (at double the cost), which means it's an american only release.

You're forgetting it will be distributed by different companies in each country. The distribution company in the US has it listed everywhere already.

I am past the point to where I would call in somebody else's help to get an album. I'll purchase it when it's available for me. If not, then so be it. That's why I never bought a hard copy of the "SEXY" album and I never got me a version of "Paradise" with the alternate cover.

Nobody buys cds anymore you can buy this album on itunes. LOL don't go there! you'll get all kinds of fuss out of the Europe community. They still hold value for CD's. Probably because they're not as flooded with mp3 technology as us. We're so used to having digital files for everything that most of us lost value for shelf items. That and most Americans have and mp3 player or cell phone in their pocket and are too lazy to convert cd's to mp3 that they're rather just download it and not worry about keeping track of the cd. At first T told me that it would be digital only in the US and pressed only overseas but I guess he found a good enough deal for the US.

I dont think it comes down to europeans being less lazy, and we all have iphones and ipods , go on the tube in london you'll struggle to find someone without headphones lol. i sure as hell cant speak for a whole continent but for me personally i like having cd's and books on my shelves, thats why i have a huge collection of old vinyl that I still play because I like to see the record spiining round and i like to have the sleeve liner and the covers that are worn round the edges, they tell a story in themselves. We've become so obsessed with convinience as a society that these things dont seem to matter to people anymore. I know if i get the CD i can rip it to Mp3 then I have both. I wish people would stop fretting about everything too, the man himself said he's gonna get the album to EVERYONE, he's promoting the CD on UK radio right now...chill.

I buy blu ray's but I almost completely quit buying CD's or DVD's.

i ain't fretting, i just want the album! i haven't seen it, or heard it on radio. i've got used to not hearing TQ on radio or seeing him on TV as it rarely happens.
as for the cd thing, i prefer a cd, don't see why i should get a dig for that. or even for not seeing it available to buy for that matter.
there's so much stuff available for (illegal) download that i don't see why i should pay for an overpriced file from itunes... not fair on me and not fair on the artist. therefore i buy the cd. i'm still supporting the artist that way, and in a long convoluted way, i'm keeping people in jobs... hehe
the last cd i bought was probably Pink's Funhouse album, and that would have been about 18 months ago, late 2008. last song i downloaded from itunes was probably a TQ one, lmao!!! i seriously don't buy or listen to much music outwith my faves. if i need any other music, i borrow my sister's cds. she doesn't download music at all.
back to the cd thing, at least if i have a cd i'll ALWAYS have the songs. putting them on an ipod takes a few minutes, there's no ha$sle there. but what if my ipod dies, yes i still have the songs on my computer. but what if my computer dies, like it has done many a time, due to hard drives giving up the ghost. i then lose my songs... itunes don't let you re-download songs over and over, i have to re-purchase them. people will say back up your computer. done that, too, but should i backup my backup?? nothing is guaranteed, not even a cd, but at least with a cd it'll last a lot longer than a computer file!!!
i'm also one of those people that has a gadget for everything. in that i have an ipod for music, dslr camera for taking pictures, phone for phoning, games machines for playing games, etc, etc. i don't like having a phone that does everything, cos you'll never get the quality and quantity that you do individually...
we're all different, and we're entitled to be. if it's available on different sites, name them, only amazon was mentioned. we were also told that we could get it direct, but still nothing more has been mentioned. the release date is getting closer and closer and maybe all we want is to finally get our hands on it!!!!!!!!!

lol to name a few:
bestbuy.com (the largest electronics store in the us) target.com (this company is almost as big as wal-mart in the us) fye.com (this is the company that has a music store in like half of the mall's in the us)
those are the biggest stores in the US I can think of aside from wal-mart which doesn't carry explicit cd's.
and of course it's available on some of the largest online only cd stores: amazon.com cduniverse.com wherehouse.com
I really don't know that many US online sites but it's supposed to be on alot.
I also would rather buy CD's vs mp3 but I don't understand how people get so upset if a CD's not available and it's only mp3, you can download the mp3 and burn it to cd in a couple mins.. I own a few 100 CD's, couple hundred Blu Rays & a couple dozen DVD's (sold most my DVD"s to upgrade to Blu). So I understand collecting things.
I actually back up all my music on an external hard drive AND a dvd backup. You can get several blank DVD's or CD's for less than a dollar and burn a data backup and you can fit around 40 albums per dvd and 7 albums per cd. File it away and you're set.

apart from amazon i can never think of other US stores that sell cd's i've only just started out on the bluray dvd collection, but obviously the PS3 games are bluray, so got quite a few of those. not actually watched a bluray yet, so can't comment on the difference in quality!! might have to watch one soon! now that i think about it, i have my music on 2 different computers and an external hard drive. not paranoid, just a new laptop, lmao!!!! never thought about burning to DVD, but keep getting told to do that with my photos, by my college lecturer, so might actually do it sometime.

Your screen size will determine the difference. On my 32 inch tv, very small difference, on the 40 inch, a little more difference, on my 100 inch screen - HUGE difference. =D
