k... straight up, the only reason I do deals with companies is because u guys want CD's. This fact completely kills my business every time I drop something. Then I get a bunch of flak because u still can't find them... I'm gonna say this and take most of the pressure off of myself. This is more than likely THE LAST album that I will do a deal for. It makes ABSOLUTELY no logical sense. I have a lot of fans who just buy my records online. Enuff to support me at least... Whenever I get into making/shipping CD's I lose. Thaz fine if it satisfies u guys cuz Ur the reason why I do this... But if I willingly take money out of my pocket to please u and it still doesnt work, I just gotta say fu?k it. Sorry but Tylon has to eat. If u can't find a "Kind of Blue" CD in ur country at the store, and it's available online and u have the means to buy it and don't, thaz completely ur decision. But I'm not taking blame for the music not being available to u because it is. The HUB Muzic, without help from ANYONE, can make TQ music available for purchase to the whole world. If I didnt have to make these CD's u guys could get 3x the amount of music. I could tour ur countries way more than I'm able to do now, I'd be able to build upon this fanbase... But here we go again. I gotta bring in help so that u guys can see me in the store next to whodafu?kever. So because of that need, u get dates constantly changing. I have to hire promoters in all these diff countries and most of them do a sh!t job cuz u still don't hear or see anything.... but I'm pumping out $'s to try to please.

I've not come this far to go back to a major and play myself. I'm flat out not gonna do it. I thought about it this time, looked at some offers and said HELL NAW. I'll put out my records myself and blaze the trail for the end of the cd which will be here in the next 3 years trust me. Just like I blazed the trail for these fu?k a$s R&B niggas who are all "hard" all of a sudden... lol!

I will have KOB CD's at my mail order store and they will definitely cost more than HMV or Virgin or blah blah blah. I have to make them, print them, ship them and pay customs to get them to u. They will all be signed as an incentive, but to each his own. If u guys wanna go thru all that trouble to get a CD then u deserve one.

Right now I'm looking at these posts and kicking myself for various reasons. It is what it is. there's a fine line between loyalty and stupidity and I'm walking it at the moment. Now, more than it's been in years, there is a contingent of peeps around the globe starving for real good music. I believe thaz what I make. There may be an opportunity for new fans on the horizon and maybe they don't care about buying a CD as opposed to making their own from a purchased mp3. I'm gonna have to find them and also hope that there is a change of heart amongst my some of my existing fans as technology changes...

Proof is in the pudding. I made 3x as much with Gemini as I did with Paradise. They sold about the same amount of copies with Gemini outselling by a couple thousand.

Gemini was my least fav of all my albums. I don't count that SEXY sh!t. I had nothin to do with it

I never made a physical copy of Gemini. Go online and look at what label put that record out... with no help.

This is the new record bizness. I've tried my best to please as many as I could over the years and I'm thankful to the ones that stick thru the many frustrations that come with it. I would ask for all of u to help spread the word on this record when it releases. If u cannot find it at a store close to u and refuse to buy it online, please at least tell a couple friends to do so. There are no hard feelings. U want ur music how u want it and thaz ur right as consumers. U guys are pretty much the reason for everything with my job. I will continue to try to do what u guys need. I'm gonna talk to Qu' this week about opening the store on TP so that we can start the preorders for the signed copies next month.

I don't but CD's anymore. Last actual CD I bought was Paradise at Tower Records in Los Angeles in 2008. Before that it was probably a year. Last mp3 set I bought was Electronic (Single) today! lol

I don't know why people complain about the cds not bein in stores. Myself, yea i like havin the physical copy, but I have no problem whatsoever ordering off amazon. Actually, Id rather do that then get it in a store. U can buy it without even leavin ur house.

The only reason I still buy albums (cd/mp3) is either because I want to support the artist or I really can't get it otherwise. Hard copies don't catch my interest much anymore. I just hope there won't be any mixtape in the future with a mixtape DJ who's yelling on the music I want to listen to and tagging the sh!t out of it.

I didnt realise it was such a ball ache getting CD's out, fair enough i knew distributors are needed in each country, but i didnt think there was much cost involved in physically making them.

I don't mind if i cant get a CD version of any album, the only reason i would prefer them is so i can build on my collection of CD's, as in i have all 2pacs albums in a row, Outlawz, TQ, even Robbie Williams! I even printed my own CD covers for Gemini so i could add it to my collection!

I agree then to stop doing CD versions, if that means we get to see more tours! Get to the UK & start touring, ill put the word out!

Well it's not as easy as paying to have the disc and covers manufactured. You have all the distribution costs like: shipping to stores, price negotiation and promotion. Factoring in there's already a good amount lost on distribution, They have to take a hit to get the store to buy it at a reasonable cost and the artist has to pay the company more for each album manufactured vs mp3 download. There's no distribution cost involved with itunes or amazon. Only a small fee for each album sold. Which is far less than the money lost on distribution of a cd.

I convert all the music from my CDs to MP3s anyway, so it's better for me getting it as an MP3 album!

yeah i was complaining about getting the cd, which i still can't find available to buy in the uk (and i mean online, high street stores no longer get my business ), and now there's an even bigger reason to want the cd. that 'spend the day with TQ' competition... you gotta take a picture of yourself with the cd and receipt... how can you do that with an mp3?!

i want the cd, cos it's gonna be signed, lol ;D plus, if someone says that a cd is available, i want it. if there's no cd, then fine, i d/l everything else. but the fact there is a cd available, i want the cd, just the way i work

i know the days of 'look at the size of my cd/dvd/video game collection' are disappearing, and in a way that's a good thing for me, as i am seriously running out of space... ;D

I just got my TQ - Kind of Blue CD, signed, shipped and packed by TQ himself. Even had his name on the customs form - crazy. That is hustle!

I requested he write the lyric, "seems like every night, right before I go to sleep, I say a lil prayer to the lord, that he keep me..."

But not only did he do that he signed the CD, the inside cover and on the front wrote GOTTA GET THAT MONEY!!!
No one is treating fans like this so I respect what you're doing man.

But should TQ be doing all this? I said I respect it but if he can get more music to us, more money for himself, then f*k this lame a$s deals. Go for it T, you are the one who said get that money, you even made a song about it.

A TP store sounds awesome because I am in the UK and I can't buy from amazon or itunes. If there's TQ music out there I will buy it.

Just got mine as well today, I was pretty impressed with the fact he's signed the customs form as well!

As was said above, what other artist would go to these efforts to please their fans? TQ has the most loyal fans around, & he really knows this which is why he goes to these efforts to show us.

The fact he gets pissed around by every distribution company or record label shouldnt mean he HAS to be like this with us, we should all be grateful he's doin this music & making sure we can all get it, even if its only available as a digital download.

Which ever way works best, ill always but TQ stuff! Ive spent over £20 buying just this album, I bought the Europe version off Itunes just because i couldnt wait, plus Kill Jill & the remixes that werent on either the Europe version or the Limited Edition!!!

He just needs to get over to the UK now to do some shows, ill smoke a joint after the show with you TQ!

TQ is the man. I dont know many other artist that are this connected with their fans. I got my Limited Edition last week and the more I listen to it the more I like it. Crazy thing is I already want more!!!!!
