this song is twice what westside is or was...i love this song...but mauz...i wouldnt say its about hustling, its about a girl who has the mind state of thinking that the only way to make money is to sell her body...shes had an aweful life, and she ends up dying...its TQ's version of "Brenda's Got A Baby"...lyrics @ www.tqfans.com |

"hustlin" is not just selling dope. ... hustling is a lifestyle to make it in ANY kind of way ... to make money in ANY kind of way. So yes, this song is about hustling. Angela Jones hustled. She didn't sell dope, she sold her body to get where she needed to get, to feed her babies, to survive .. Hustlin is all about survival. |

this is simple...its about a girl who made the wrong choices in her life...tq even shows that when she gets murdered...its the wrong choices that she makes and thats it...its a story with a moral to it. nobody has to go be a hooker to make money...this sh!t isnt about hustling...its got a lesson behind it.

OK, I think you know, that I´m not from the hood. I´m not raised in the streets and I know all that "Ghetto Life Style" just from tellings by others but I would say that hustling is what Dmac said... but I don´t know it, so I can´t really talk with you...

Well.. I think Dmac and said the same thing in different words. I added the ghetto part later because "Lil Don" didn't seem to quite get it, and apparently still doesn't. But I guess it doesn't matter.
One last comment.. Usually the person who WRITES a song knows best what it's about. So don't you think if this song is WRITTEN by TQ, then he should know what he intended to say? So when he says it's about hustlin then it is about hustlin .... ya know...
PS Dmac... Much East Coast Love to ya... Love me some LA... Spend a lot of time there.
