Isn't R&B supposed to be soft?? I thought the hardcore stuff was rap and hiphop. Well I guess today with all of the guest appearances, it might as well be all one type of music. The reason I started liking TQ was because he can sing, and because his music is original. He's not out there trying to please everyone, he just does his own thing.

No, R&B is not supposed to be soft. I don't think I'd like R&B as much as I do if it wasn't for TQ. He's got a different style than the Ushers and the Joes. And then when TQ does make a love song, TQ outshines all them R&B singers who don't sing about anything else than love.

I can listen to some of the love songs. As long as the lyrics arnt watered down. When I hear a love song and a guy is singing "I caught you in bed with another man why do you wanna break my heart...." that's fu©kin cheese! Is that how you act when your girl cheated on you and left your a$$? fu©k NO! It's more like "b!tch i caught you fu©kin some punk, how the fu©k you turn into a slu+?"
I believe the ones that water that sh!t down and cry about it are some pussies, you dont get that out of TQ. Even with his love songs. He makes "Reality R&B" as he calls it.
"end of may, hey its judement day / sittin cross the street with a 5th of hen, drinkin my pain away / i got on my caki's and my t-shirt / just in case i might have to one two this jerk / i gotta tell my baby hi / i mean i gotta look into her beautiful eye / i gotta see if this what she really wanted do / i gotta see if she aint got no love for TQ"
Even in the most love-ish of songs he keeps it real.

Call me a f@g if you want, but that's the kind of music I like. I listen to rap too, but more than 50% of the music I listen to consists of...
112, Avant, Blackstreet, Boyz II Men, Brian McKnight, Craig David, Donell Jones, Dru Hill, Ginuwine, Jagged Edge, Joe, Montell Jordan, R. Kelly, Sam Salter, TQ, Tyrese, and Usher.
TQ is probably the most talented out of the list (and the most unrecognized), but my love of music is for the softer R&B. I do think a lot of R&B singers have sold out by trying to be gangsta when they're not. About the only one I can think of out of my list though would be Jagged Edge.
