I just read it... I'm not feeling that new song too much, but TQ's albums never disappoint, so I'm not too worried about that. Besides... I'll buy the album anyway, so the single is not targeted at me  Hopefully 2011 will bring us many new (and old!) TQ songs  |

The new song is okay... What its not okay is that TQ got a "new" official website... all the people will go there, cut that one will be uploaded with news and stuff by him...He could keep this one and add music and merchadise stuff, right ? ...but I wait for the new album ! |

stunna i gotta say, this site hasn't been updated in a good while. KOB was out in march, and TP is still advertising the limited edition, which as far as TQ said, is no longer available. the link for it, also doesn't work. there's been no new news added to it, apart from here on the forum, and most of that is coming from TQ himself. it makes sense for him to have his own site again. remember, this is a fan site, always has been, always will be.
TQ said his official site is not to replace TP, but where people can go for the most up to date news, all in one place, it makes sense.
also, all the people from here will go there? how many regular posters are there here now?? they'll go there but they'll stay here. no harm in using ALL available sites!! does anyone still use myspace?! lol!!
it's also easier for TQ to update one site, rather than go round them all. he has also said that TP will have some stuff for us soon, so we gotta just wait it out ;D

Not every newsbit on TQ is posted on the message board anymore. No one's gonna make a post about every song TQ mentioned on the net, haha. Artists are easier to contact than ever before. With all the new media and the options to respond to news and to interact with the artists, most things are being discussed on Facebook, etc. Note that there are only a few posts on the new TQofficiatSite.com website yet. Me, I only check TQ's Twitter page. Most news bits concerning TQ are posted there. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan and I always will be, but I understand that TQ for opened up a new site. KOB was a damn good album and it was worth discussing, but I don't want to talk about songs I do not like (i.e. Rockit Girl, Uh Oh, Whoa, Down a$s Homegirl, Bad Girl). It's a new game. Unfortunately good artists need wack music to sell units. That's why I can't get excited about the new single, but I'm hyped for the new album. That will have great music on it, as always. This board (& website) have always been a place for people that became fan when "Westside" came out. Everyone here is in their mid 20s-early 30s. We get more excited when unheard old songs drop than when new songs drop. Pretty much everything has been discussed by us already, which is why there are less posts than ever before. People who are new to TQ (or not as familiar with his music as us) won't post here much because they haven't much to discuss with us, lol. |

The Limited Edition CD was being sold still through the Hub Shop and the link worked until a month or so ago when i last checked it. It was just linked to a site ran by some company he was using. The site hasn't been changed in appearance because he's still promoting KOB and "Bad Girl". The site was completely redone to the way it is now by TQ's request and I even designed his myspace with the same theme. It also takes a sh!t ton of work to do a flash website like this. It's not something that can be redone overnight, or even in a week. Just adding one new song to the sounds page takes 10 minutes. I work two full time jobs, go to school and have way too many projects going on so my time is rare. Plus its so easy to just throw up a blog website and edit yourself. Every artist is doing it now. The problem with "official" sites is they will never have 10% of the content the fan sites have. I mean go on there right now and you won't find hardly any media and never will. The only things you'll find on there are things they want to promote at the moment and all these guest appearances, remixes and unreleased tracks that you get to hear, they wont post them. The main thing is, there isnt really much going on with him right now to update with. The forum is and has been the best collaborated news source for many years. Thugpoetry is in need of a web designer or two that can edit the site more often.... |
