dont ask about the name...im only posting in this thread so i figured i didnt really need to do any good names. this is luke again. i want to clear some things up.
as far as what dmac said about you guys saying im not a big tq fan...i've been here since the beginning, i was back on gillians board when it first started. most of you have never seen let alone even heard about gillians board. no i dont post here because honestly i just dont like the atmosphere of this board. its gotten better but it doesnt make me wanna post. its nothing personal against anyone.
i will not change my feelings about what i said. we've all been waiting for this album and it seems as if only 2 or 3 of us have actually grasped the concept that this album probably wont come out. for that it pisses me off.
you say "how can you do that after everything tq has done for his fans"....what's he done? he posted here what? twice? thats about it...he's dissapointed most of his fans by signing with a record label that we all knew wouldnt be good for him.
elke you said "why dont you send him a message or something"...funny thing...i did about a month and a half ago...no reply...it basically said the same thing but in nicer words.
so i ask you...what has tq done for me then? im not asking for anything big...im not asking for unreleased songs, im not asking for autographs, all im asking for is for him to quit fu?king with these bullsh!t labels that just keep screwing him and to finally put out another album.
thats not too much to ask. the least tq could do is post something on here giving us the real deal. no bullsh!t. no lies about not knowing whats going on. because its bullsh!t. he knows why his album isnt dropping and he just doesnt wanna say anything. well fu?k him then, i want the truth. i think as a fan since the day i heard westside back in 1997, as a fan who has purchased TNSMC more times than i can count on my hands, as a fan who (even though he already had a downloaded copy) still bought TSC for 30 bucks because he had to have it imported from holland, as a fan who has stuck through and kept faith in him while he went to a horrible record lable, was featured on horrible albums, and put out a horrible single for Gemini, i think i deserve to atleast know the truth. if you guys cant understand that then maybe you'll see why i dont like the atmosphere of this board.

I know where you're coming from luke, i really do.. sorry if i said anything that got ya pissed.. I guess we're all a lil pissed and anxious about the album. I have been down from day one too.. so.. I been on tqweb since day one, i been on gillians board, and on some others.. but i know what ya mean still luv ya though  |

Luke, on a serious tip, do you really think it's that simple to get a record deal? When TQ signed to Cash Money years ago he felt it was a great place for him to be. How was he supposed to know things would be this way? Back then Cash Money was the hottest thing around.
So if you consider contractual obligations, and circumstances, you could understand why he can't just get up and walk away and get a new deal. It's not that easy. You know his history, you have been down for a long time, remember how difficult it was to get out of the Epic deal?
I understand your frustrations. But it is not up to TQ. It's way more complicated to get out of a deal and get a new one that you would imagine!

This is pretty hilarious...Not the fact that everyone's getting pissed off over the album not dropping, but the fact that just about everytime I visit this board, the album has been pushed back again. Honestly, what difference is it going to make if they dropped it last summer, right now, or 2 years from now? His fans want it now, they don't want him to sing another hook for one song on a Big Tymers cd. If they drop it now, and then drop the other albums, that will be better for TQ because he'd probably tour with them and people might actually know him as a solo artist and not someone who sings hooks for Cash Money.

Not many r&b artists have a hit album. You have to have unbelievably good songs or a uneek sound to get noticed right now. Just look at Nate Dogg, he cant get his album out. Ive heard some great sh!t lately from R&B singers half of you probably aint heard of, they just arnt making it on the charts. Most R&B artists are having like one hit off there albums and they dissapear if they can even get one hit. R Kelly is one of the only r&b artists out there getting noticed and thats because he keeps his sh!t ghetto. girls might listen to the r&b and soe guys, but most guys wont bump that sh!t and even admit they have it if its all love songish. You have to appeal to the females and to the guys. if you want to make some love songs they gotta be ghetto as fu?k or dirty as fu?k to get guys to play and buy the sh!t. It is cool to like R Kelly and own his album (because he's ghetto) even if you lsiten to a love song by him. It is not cool to listen to Tyrese (even though he may be ghetto in real life, he's all lovey dovey when it comes to music) so you cant have his album. I didnt make the rules, just the way it is. It's all about peer presure and whats "cool". |
