Ok... Now I know the burning question is, when is the new album coming? So let me try to answer that. Here's the dilema. There are two routes to go. I can go with a major record label like I did with "They Never Saw Me Coming" and "The Second Coming". The good part about this way is that distribution, marketing, and promotions, which are the most important components to a successful record, are handled by a worldwide company with parts in every major city. That way it gets to everybody. It's in all the stores. On all the radio and video staions and all over the streets. Going this route ensures that everybody has access to ur record, but u get paid peanuts. So u gotta sell a couple of million to see any cheese ya feel me? Plus ur at the mercy of the company. What they say goes or they'll sh!t on u. But if it blows, U get a lotta other sh!t to subsidize gettin' jerked. Tours, Endorsements, etc...
The other route to go is the independent route like I did for "Listen". Good part about this is U get paid like 500% more per record so u don't have to sell so many. U also own ur masters and can re-release or liscense them for other projects at will. U run ur own sh!t and don't have to worry about the record company bullsh!t. Problem with this is, distribution, marketing and promotion, is limited by finances and geography. So ur fans get pissed off and cuss u out cuz they can't find ur record. So then u gotta cuss ur distributor out because ur losing thousands by having people who wanna buy but can't find! ARRRRRRRRRRGHHHHH! That is the fu?kin' worst man! Talk about frustrating! I was supposed to give Lightyear another album/DVD. Fat chance...
Here's the issue... I gotta be really careful with this decision this time around. Gotta take my time... This new album is heavy. Mannie Fresh produced 10 joints so far. Mike Mosley did a couple too, thanx to Mauzip hooking us back up. Ain't that some sh!t? Anyway, the record is hot! The production this time around is top-notch! Beats all over the place! Gotta take my time... So basically, I'm just looking for the right situation. I've always seemed to end up with the wrong company and I'm not trying to do it again. I got some deals on the table, but I'm scared to move on any of them right now. People always sell u bullsh!t until u sign on the dotted line. I'm sure they'll be reading this so I just wanna say, get yo mind right! I got some thugz with me!
Anyway, Thank yall again for all the love and support. Thanx 4 stickin' with me. Thanx 4 Thugpoetry. com. People get on this website and can't leave. They get stuck. Qu', U ain't no fu?kin' joke... I'm headed to the gym. Yall be good! WESTSIDE 4 LIFE!
PS: Oh yeah, I haven't named the album yet, but I can tell u that it's real gangsta. And the ladies are gonna be VERY happy about it. I finally sang to yall a lil bit! MUAH! Everybody who left me fan mail, I'll get to it soon. PROMISE!
